    SHE Representative

    An appointed Health and Safety Representative is a legal requirement under Section 17 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and thus compulsory for every organisation that employs more than 20 employees. This course provides Health and Safety Representatives with the knowledge required to fulfil their legal obligation as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

    The functions of the workplace Health and Safety Representative (SHE Rep) course is focused on providing delegates with knowledge and skills to fulfil their SHE Rep functions within their company. Delegates will be able to comprehend the vital part Safety Representatives play within the Occupational Health and Safety Management System of their company. Knowledge of duties, responsibilities and rights of Safety Representatives, employees and employers in terms of Occupational Health and Safety is covered during this course. Delegates are empowered to play a vital role in ensuring a safer working environment within their respective companies.

    SHEQ Auditing Management

    This course is based on the Quality Management Systems’ requirements in reference to ISO 9001:2015, the Environmental Management Systems’ Requirements in reference to ISO 14001:2015 and the Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems’ Requirements in reference to ISO 45001:2018. This 3-day course allows delegates an overview of the standards. The key focus areas of all 3 standards will be discussed, as well as summaries of the requirements of each, this will allow delegates to understand how to implement the standards’ requirements and how to prepare for an audit.

    There will be case studies to link clauses to scenarios of non-conformances, to assist in grasping the understanding of the various clauses. The focus will be primarily on how to audit an EMS (Using the Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register) and an OHS-MS (Using the HIRA) and discussions on Quality Control Plans.

    Implementation

    This course is based on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 31000:2018. This course provides you with an overview of the standards, where key areas of all four standards will be discussed. A summary of the requirements will also be discussed, which will allow delegates to understand how to implement the standards and prepare for an audit.There will be case studies to link clauses to scenarios of non-conformances to assist in grasping the understanding of the various clauses. Focus will be primarily on how to implement an EMS (Using the Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register) and OHS-MS (Using the HIRA), as well as discussions on Quality Control Plans and managing risks.

    SHEQ Representative

    The course is the ideal way to ensure that Health, Safety and Quality representatives fully understand their objectives and statutory requirements. Every representative has rights, powers, functions and duties that must be understood and executed. Therefore, the course ensures an efficient way of how the duties and obligations for this position will be understood. Implementing and monitoring various legislative procedures that promote and manage SHEQ related incidents are also taught. Delegates will acquire the skills needed to be able to identify health, safety and quality issues, to consult with authorities on the matter and to resolve these issues in an efficient manner.
