Shabaana’s area of expertise is the provision of leadership and guidance, and she is anticipated to engage with corporate clients and partners who influence WWISE’s operations.
She holds a BCom Law degree from UNISA and has extensive exposure in the legal and compliance sector having participated in numerous courses offered by the SABS on Safety, Health, and Environmental Legislations.
She has been involved in many projects which include the MTN SA, USAID, JSI, SABC ISF Services, and many more. She oversees the development of bridging medium-term goals and strategies towards the Strategic Plan outcomes of WWISE based on sound risk management analysis that are undertaken annually.

Muhammad Ali holds a Masters Degree from the University of Pretoria and is a qualified Industrial and Systems Engineer, and is currently pursuing a PhD. Muhammad is a Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk and Quality (SHERQ) Registered Lead Auditor who supports the SABS with certification audits on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO 20000-1:2018 and ISO 50001:2018. Muhammad has a diverse background that includes experience in the public sector, telecommunications, automotive, construction, engineering, manufacturing, and various service sectors. He has been the Managing Director of WWISE for the past 16 years and has provided consulting services to more than 790+ clients. WWISE has a 100% record in certifying clients to any ISO standard with various certification bodies.
Prior to WWISE, Muhammad was employed as a Quality Engineer at the Automotive Leather Company (ALC) from 2006 to 2007. His responsibilities included the production and quality control of Mercedes Benz E-Class Seats (W211). He transitioned to the nuclear industry, where he supported Hi-Tech Select in the documentation of processes, the development of efficiency models, and the adherence to a variety of International Standard Compliance mechanisms for the Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) project.
In 2008/9, the South African Quality Institute (SAQI) identified the potential of Muhammad’s knowledge on ISO Management Systems and ability to train and motivate individuals. They granted him two projects to assist the Diplomatic Academy of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) to become in achieving ISO 9001:2008 Certified certification and to train Acelor Mittal Engineers on the course of in the Certified Quality Technicians certification course.
Muhammad’s success motivated him to expand the business and through quality proficiency and word of mouth, resulting in the current situation, where he employs over 30 staff provides ISO certification assistance to more than 200 clients worldwide. Maylee Hartzenburg has been employed by WWISE since 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Information Technology in Business Systems and various qualifications in Project Management. She serves as a SAATCA Registered Lead Auditor, where she closely collaborates with the Managing Director as a Systems implementer, auditor and training facilitator.
As the COO, she is responsible for the development and implementation of over 130 systems of various complexities and is in charge of projects of all sizes. She has a substantial amount of experience in the public sector, telecommunications, automotive, construction, engineering, manufacturing, and various other service sectors. As a strategic tool to ensure that decision-makers remain focused on the achievement of business goals and objectives, Maylee provides reports on all activities, issues, and requirements associated with the WWISE ISO implementation project. Her division plays a critical role in adding value to organisations and ensuring that they are well-positioned for long term success.

Van Zyl Krause is a Construction Health and Safety Manager holding an international certificate from NEBOSH. He is currently registered as a Construction Health and Safety Manager with SACPCMP. He specialises in Construction Health and Safety. He has extensive knowledge in the private sector, specialising in Construction Management across various disciplines such as temporary works, telecommunication, civil engineering, and service installations including fire safety, electrical systems, heavy lifting and rigging, asbestos removal, and roofing.
He has supported clients such as Discovery, Consol, Distell, Apollo Air, and the Department of Health in developing Construction Health and Safety Specifications, utilising baseline risk assessments, design risk reports, and geotechnical reports.
