    What is ISO 22000:2018?

What is the difference between FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000?
Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000:2018 scheme uses the ISO 22000:2018 as a requirement for the development and implementation of a management system. The main difference between the two certifications is that the FSSC 22000:2018 scheme is recognised by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and ISO 22000:2018 is not.

The FSSC 22000:2018 contains a few additional requirements which include the understanding of the Pre-Requisite Program (PRP), or global procedures used to control the operating conditions in food manufacturing factories with the specific requirements of the FSSC to ensure consistency, integrity, and management of the system. The Global Food Safety Initiative demonstrates that the scheme meets the highest standards globally leading to international food industry acceptance.
