    Who is NEBOSH?

    The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) is a leading global organisation, which provides health, safety, and environmental qualifications. Our internationally recognised qualifications help to raise the competence of safety and environmental professionals as well as individuals at all levels in the workplace. NEBOSH qualifications are highly respected by governments, employers, and our learners.

    NEBOSH International General Certificate is now being offered by WWISE as a SILVER accredited NEBOSH course partner


    • The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Accreditation. It sits in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at SCQF Level 6 with 11 SCQF credit points.
    • SCQF Level 6 is comparable to RQF/CQFW Level 3 in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

    Who should attend?

    Safety Managers, Supervisors and/or any other Employees with Health and Safety Responsibilities and is perfect for those embarking on a health and safety career.


    • There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
    • NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

    The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (IGC) is one of the most trusted health and safety certifications globally. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is based on international standards and best practice. It is made up of two units that must be successfully completed.

    Course Objectives

    Upon successful completion, delegates will be able to:

    • Improved people’s knowledge and skills in workplace health, safety, environment, risk, and wellbeing can, in turn, lead to fewer accidents and cases of work-related ill health, an improved environment and greater levels of well-being.
    • NEBOSH collaborates with organisations such as HSE, INSHPO, BCSP, RoSPA, IIRSM and government bodies to raise the profile and recognition of the profession, raise standards and share to further educational opportunities.
    • Improved compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
    • Gain further understanding of associated risks/hazards for specific jobs and tasks.

    Holders of the NEBOSH International General Certificate are entitled to:

    • You have full access to our training centre, not only on the days that you attend class, but the training room is also available on the weekends for you to write your assessment

    • You will receive all relevant training info and will be able to complete the course on your own
    • This is a self-paced learning method
    • It can be done remotely, including the Practical Risk Assessment and Open Book Exam
