    Who is NEBOSH?

    The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) is a leading global organisation, which provides health, safety, and environmental qualifications. Our internationally recognised qualifications help to raise the competence of safety and environmental professionals as well as individuals at all levels in the workplace. NEBOSH qualifications are highly respected by governments, employers, and our learners.

    Accreditation

    • The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Accreditation. It sits in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at SCQF Level 6 with 11 SCQF credit points.
    • SCQF Level 6 is comparable to RQF/CQFW Level 3 in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

    Who should attend?

    Safety Managers, Supervisors and/or any other Employees with Health and Safety Responsibilities and is perfect for those embarking on a health and safety career.

    Pre-requisites: 

    • There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
    • NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

    About the course

    The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (IGC) is one of the most trusted health and safety certifications globally. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is based on international standards and best practice. It is made up of two units that must be successfully completed.

    Course Objectives

    Classroom 01

    Classroom

    • This is a 2-week in-person course
    • You have full access to our training centre, not only on the days that you attend class, but the training room is also available on the weekends for you to write your assessment
    • Access to WiFi, printing, stationery, and secure parking
    • You have access to the facilitator
    • You will be put on a Whatsapp Group to receive resources directly from the facilitator
    • Catering: Meals are included on training days (Halaal options available)
    • Access to videos and library to enhance your learning
    Virtual 01

    Webinar/virtual

    • You will be able to attend the training “virtually”
    • We will send you all relevant training info and you will be able to join classes online
    • You will receive access to electronic training material
    • The training is recorded, so you can reference or play it back at a later stage
    • The training can be attended remotely on any smart device with reliable internet access
    • Access to videos and library to enhance your learning
    Distance Learning 01

    Distance Learning

    • You will receive all relevant training info and will be able to complete the course on your own
    • This is a self-paced learning method
    • It can be done remotely, including the Practical Risk Assessment and Open Book Exam
    • You have access to the facilitator for any queries
