Staff secondments also known as staff outsourcing allow for employees of an organisation to either work in a different department or with a new organisation to fulfil a project while gaining work experience. The organisation benefits from the knowledge and ability of the staff secondment and the secondment are exposed to a different department or industry altogether.
At WWISE, we can provide various staff for outsourcing in organisations that require extra direct help with implementing ISO standards. Our most popular standard for secondment is ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
How does our staff secondment work?
When one of our clients is not able to find someone to fulfil their internal audits or if they need support in establishing, implementing, and maintaining a management system, they’re able to outsource staff from us at WWISE. We can send some of our highly qualified ISO/IEC 27001:2022 consultants to work in our client’s organisation to ensure our client passes audits and receives certification.
One of our clients is currently working with two outsourced staff members from WWISE in Australia to implement an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 information security management system (ISMS). Our client will only need expert staff to set up and maintain the ISMS until they get certified. Once the ISMS is established and certified, our secondments return from Australia.
How our outsourced staff is assisting a client in Australia.
We currently have two staff members Van Zyl Krause (Operations Manager for our Cape Town Office) and Anjewayne Pillay (ISO Consultant) collaborating with a client in Australia. Our client is currently establishing and implementing an information security management system and are preparing to receive their ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.
With the combined effort and experience of Krause and Pillay in information governance, risk management, health and safety, auditing, conformance (GRAC), and SOX controls, they provide a range of valuable services to our client including:
- Ensuring all operations are adhering to the established policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments and managing stakeholder relationships and involvement.
- Identifying potential threats, developing mitigation strategies, and fostering a risk-aware environment within the organisation.
- Ensuring the IT systems and processes comply with all relevant local and international laws and regulations.
- They are also able to assist with specific projects and tasks, such as facilitating user access reviews.
Although our staff in Australia is focused on establishing ISO/IEC 27001:2022 in our client’s organisation, we can provide various other staff for outsourcing. We have expert staff that have experience with a variety of ISO standards.
